    In 1991, I was homeless, dead broke, an embarrassment, and a loser who was over $100,000 in debt just on my credit cards. I owed another $40,000 to friends and family. I was living with my wife and three boys in my sister-in-law's unfinished moldy basement. I can remember one specific night there like it was yesterday...

    I sat in the car on the driveway, crying, depressed, scared and hopeless. I just couldn't go in and tell my wife I turned down another job. I didn't know if she would finally reach her breaking point and leave me. I had promised her I would not turn down this job offer. They did make an offer, yet I still told them no. So I cried in that driveway. I didn't know what to do. I did not want to lose her, yet I simply COULD NOT take any job.

    You see I didn't want to turn down the job...but I had to. Every time I thought about working at a big corporation I literally pictured myself in a prison cell. (I'm not joking) A dark, cold, little cell that I'd be stuck in the rest of my horrible life.

    Where every two weeks the prison guard (a boss) would give me a pay check for the exact same amount as two weeks before. It wouldn't matter if I worked harder than anyone else. It wouldn't matter if my work was better than anyone else's.

    I saw myself getting that same check every two weeks, trapped in hell-like prison. No matter what I did (or didn't do) I knew exactly what crappy amount was coming when I got that stupid check, and that it would always be the same.

    So, I got out of the car, walked inside terrified of how my wife was going to react when I told her the bad news. I told her the truth. She was incredibly upset, but luckily she didn't leave me like I thought she was sure to. She had really been through way too much with me, and I thought this would be the straw that broke the camel's back. But somehow, for some unknown reason, she agreed to stick it out a little longer.

    Which was big for me, but bad for her and the kids...because we were living in this miserable basement, with no apparent hope. Neither of us knew if or when we'd ever get out of that musty, pathetic basement.

    And after that conversation with my wife I knew I had to do something to change our lives. I couldn't bear to have her look at me that way again, and I didn't want my sons to think of me as a total failure.

    I had no idea what to do, and the only thing that I know for sure was that for as long as I can remember I wanted to own my own home based business that would get rid of my idiot boss, bring in piles of cash, and allow me to have total personal and financial freedom!

    So, I did a little research about starting my own business, and came across a few interesting things, but nothing that I could really use. I kept at if for a little while...

    In August of 1991, I met a direct marketer who showed me the secrets to making boat loads of money through direct mail. I went from being totally lost...to having someone show me exactly what I needed to do to in order to start raking in boat loads of cash working from home!

    After a couple of months I was really starting to take in the dough! (Tens of thousands a month!!) My whole business was run out of my house through direct mail...and I was finally starting to feel good about my self again. I could look my wife and kids in the eyes, and not feel ashamed! It was the best feeling I had in years!

    Fast forward about a little over a year. I'm making even more money. (Hundreds of thousands of dollars a month now!) I was really starting to kick ass at this! All because someone showed me the exact path to follow, so that I could follow his guidance step-by-step, and do exactly what I needed to do in order to make piles of cash!

    So, for the next couple of years I continued to work my ass off, and mastered how to make great money working from home. I was able to give my wife and kids the lifestyle they all so richly deserved. I was the envy of my friends and neighbors (who all called me the guy who sits at home making money in his underwear).

    Then in 1999 I discovered that I could convert my whole direct mail business to the online world. You see, I was skeptical at first. I didn't know much about the net...but I did think there was an opportunity to make my fortune online and avoid so much of the hassles and costs of direct mail.
